How do we create energy-saving SCEO® screens?
On request, we offer LED screens supported by technology based on a common cathode. This solution is based on the fact, that the optimum voltage is supplied separately for each chip of the R,G,B diode and takes advantage of the fact that the optimum current demand for the R diode is much lower than for the others. In the standard common anode technology all diodes are supplied with a voltage of over 3.8 V, whereas the R diode requires only 2.5 V. Additionally, this solution brings huge gains in current consumption thanks to the fact that the current does not flow from the PCB to the RGB diodes in a unified way, but reaches the negative pole of the IC driver, which reduces the positive voltage drop and resistance of the whole circuit. Optimisation of energy consumption of our screens is also possible thanks to brightness sensors that automatically adjust the brightness of the display to the prevailing lighting conditions. As a result, SCEO® SCEO®EnergySaver screens have lower energy consumption, up to 75% lower than rival LED displays.
