In May 2016, TDC POLSKA delivered 3 videowalls based on SCEO® LED SCREEN PH1.6 mm for the German WDR television based in Cologne. The total area of the walls is 30 m2 and has a total pixel count of over 10 million. The largest wall, exceeding 18 m2, has a horizontal resolution exceeding 4K, i.e. 4620×1440, while the total horizontal resolution of all walls is close to 8K, i.e. 7500×1440.
More than 10 million pixels of the videowalls are handled by controllers powered by advanced graphics processors, allowing the display of any source and any arrangement of content between all the videowalls, treating them as separate displays of 18.48 m2 (7.7 m x2.4 m), 8.16 m2 (3.4 m x 2.4 m) and 3.36 m2 (1.4 m x 2.4 m), or one wall of 30 m2 (12.5 m x2.4 m).
Starting from the signal source, the entire system feeding the screen with video is a redundant system, including the supplied second video processor, thus creating a fully functional signal backup.
In 2017 we designed and manufactured, as an additional order, new structures for the previously delivered SCEO® VIDEOWALLS. New structures along with the service of relocating and reassembling screens in the new WDR studio were made in the summer of 2017.
